From the Tay Road Bridge the NCN1 path takes you to Tayport Harbour & Larick cafe (base for the Tayport Climate Festival 24-26 Sept.)  then into Tentsmuir Forest trails to Salt & Pine at Kinshaldy - also with car park (entrance £2) for family traffic free cycling in the woods.

Aound Leuchars from Kinshaldy - onto minor roads to historic Leuchars and Fife Cycle Centre. A path past the new University St Andrews campus to Guardbridge Eden Cafe and sweet shop then onto St Andrews with so much to see.

Another route from Tay Road Bridge through Newport-on-Tay along Sustrans 777 road route heads up into some hills around Gauldry and follows the Tay river to Newburgh. Here you can continue around the estuary - the classic 'Tay Loop' to Bridge of Earn, Perth and flat through the Carse of Gowrie back to Dundee.

Cupar can be a start for exploring the town, quite back roads and up to Ceres conservation village, Two Wheel care bike shop and cafe at Pitscottie.
